Returning to Orange Coast College, where I first studied photography, carried a personal weight unlike any other exhibition to date. The School of Photography hosted a month-long solo show of Quest of Sages, followed by an artist conversation with students and faculty about the trajectory from the classroom to the field. Speaking with emerging photographers about the project's origins, the platinum palladium process, and the realities of building a long-term artistic practice was a full-circle moment. The exhibition was a reminder that the foundations laid in that program shaped every expedition since.
